The Green Dot Coalition is a equity focused placemaking organization working to translate community vision into green spaces, practices, and policies that:

Build a more climate-resilient communities
Foster projects that are water-smart, pollinator-friendly, and regenerative
Empower local business leaders and community stakeholders
Advocate for underrepresented communities

The Challenge

Historical Redlining, disinvestment, and industrialization have led to the loss of green space in the Denver metro area leading to issues such as heat island effects, low tree canopy, and an abundance of impervious surfaces.

Green Dot Coalition focuses on the “spaces in between” building green spaces in environmentally omitted communities in Denver, CO.
